The problem with religion is that people's perspectives can get in the way of understanding the original meaning of sacred texts. Just like how a small mistake in aiming a laser beam toward a distant star can send it off course by billions of miles, a small misunderstanding in interpreting a holy book can lead to a big difference in what it means.
The people who wrote the holy books were inspired, but the people who interpreted them later on were not. That's why you see footnotes and comments in the Quran and Bible that were written by regular people, not inspired ones. These interpretations can be way off from what the original authors meant.
But what if we start with a common idea that unites all religions: God is love? If we focus on that, we can adjust our perspective and see things in a new light. This can help us understand God and our purpose on earth in a more accurate way.
The writings of Demetrius of California are based on the idea that God is love. If your religious beliefs align with this truth, it's just a small adjustment in perspective that can change everything. Once you put the truth about God first - that He is love - the imperfect perspectives of humans will fade away, and a clear picture of God will emerge.
This will allow us to accept the blessings God has given us and enjoy the pleasures He has in store for us.
